how it works?

When medaka eggs are first laid, they are very soft and vulnerable for the first 24–36 hours. After this period, they harden and become much more durable to the touch. Approximately 5–10 days later, the eggs are carefully harvested and inspected. They are then kept in a clean, stable environment until they are ready to be sent to you.

will every egg i receive be fertilised ?

Yes, every egg you receive will be 100% confirmed as fertilised. Medaka eggs are relatively large compared to other fish species, making cell division within the embryo easy to observe. However, this does not guarantee that every egg will hatch, as environmental factors once the eggs are in your care can influence their development.

How and when will my package arrive?

Orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked, someone will need to be home to receive the package. If you are only available on certain days, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. Dispatches are made on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to ensure the eggs aren’t left in the post over the weekend, and while we aim to send all orders within 7 days of purchase, please allow up to 14 days for your package to arrive.
